ALERT is a Non-governmental, Not for profit organization that was established in 2004  bearing the Registration No.307/2004.  Since 2004, the organisation has been working in partnership with local communities  on rights and entitlements, sustainable livelihood, participatory governance etc,.  Since January 2016, with the  support of BftW, Antyodaya Project is being implemented in six coastal mandals of Krishna District with Yenadi tribal communities who are  most exploited and  marginalized.  They are formed into the Mass organziation and Cooperatives of Women,  who are also organized into Matsya Mithra Groups.

The Antyodaya project has also started working in the scheduled areas of East and West Godavari districts, where in  several thousand of Adivasis  are subjected to forced displacement due to the construction of the Polavaram National Irrigation Project,  which is seen as the largest Adivasis  displacement project in India.
